WEDDINGS

At Gold Coast Flowers and Gifts, you will always feel completely happy to know your wedding flowers will be constructed with special care and attention to detail. Since we are a small studio, it doesn’t matter if your wedding day falls on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or the Easter Weekend, as we are a dedicated flower business that puts their customers first and regardless of the day it falls on. (Most florists will increase their prices to an incredible amount as they try to discourage you to be married on such weekends. Gold Coast Flowers and Gifts guarantee their prices don’t increase due to demand.) We also only take a limited number of weddings for the same weekend, so we can devote our time to our special bouquets

It is important to choose the style of bouquet to suit your personality, wedding gown and the theme of the wedding.

• Natural Stem Posy- Also known as a hand-tied bouquet, similar to a posy, but the stems are exposed and usually bound with ribbon.

• Trail/ Teardrop- Features a posy top and trail narrows to form a tear shape.

• Arm Sheaf- Lies along the forearm or hands to form a long, narrow and neat shape or a wider version with soft trails.

A large range of flowers are available to choose from that will be discussed during your consultation. Danielle can come to see you either at your home or in her home studio, whatever is the most convenient to you. Appointments can be made during the day, evening or weekends. She will be the only person who provides your quote and the one who puts your bouquet together so she knows exactly what you want down to the very last detail.

Some popular choices of flowers are:

• Roses-The rose is still the most popular blooms for bridal bouquets whether it is a classic or modern design, either one colour, a combination of colours or combined with other spring blooms.

• Lilies – Lilies come in several different shapes and colours from fragrant large open Oriental lilies that come in a range from white, pink and yellow, to the Arum lily that is long and tubular in shape. A smaller
version of the Arum lily is the Calla lily which is available in colours from white, yellow/orange and purple.

• Tulips – Tulips are a delicate flower that look beautiful on their own, or mixed with other flowers. A range of colours are available and are subject to season availability. Just remember, they open quickly and take on a different look than you are used to seeing.

• Orchids – Orchids are a hardy and long lasting flowers,  they come in many colours and types from whites, pinks, yellow/red to that beautiful blue dyed orchid.

Large ranges of complimenting flowers are available depending on the season, such as freesias, mini gerberas, lisianthus, berries and foliage. If you have the colours of your dresses, I would love to see them when you come for your appointment as they will assist in making colour choices to perfectly compliment your wedding day.
